The Hofmark Harthausen is mentioned for the first time in the fourth land table of the Viztumsamt Straubing from around 1510, but the Hofmark rights can be determined as early as 1448. The Hofmark remained with the Hochstift Regensburg .

On November 20, 1815, the Regensburg Cathedral Chapter was granted permission to form a local court, which bore the name "Domkapitlisch-Regensburg Local Court Oberhartshausen". According to the edict of October 5, 1818, jurisdiction was transferred to the Straubing Regional Court .
