High mill
The Hohe Mühle was a residential area in the Tornow district of the town of Teupitz in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .
history
16th to 18th century
The Hohe Molle was mentioned for the first time in 1546 and belonged to the Schenkenländchen of the rule of the Schenken von Landsberg . In 1624 it consisted of a two-wheeled water mill. In the Thirty Years War it was destroyed, as from the year 1657 was a "wild mill site" reports that had been built in 1694 again. In 1711 the miller paid four Talers Schoss . In 1743 the water mill consisted of a gear and a cutting mill; In 1772 only "a miller" was reported.
19th to 21st century
In 1801 the structure consisted of a water grinding and cutting mill "belonging to and from Teupitz, not far from Tornow". There was a fireplace (= household). In 1840 there was a residential building next to the water mill. A part-time farmer lived there in 1858 and employed two maids. His estate was 209 acres . It is known from 1860 that there were three farm buildings in addition to a house, including the water grain mill. In addition to 146 acres of forest and twelve acres of meadow, 50 acres of arable land and one acre of garden land were cultivated. The property, previously run as a non -parish establishment , was added to the parish of Tornow in 1875.
In 1904 the owner received the concession to open a pub. This was used as a restaurant until the Second World War . In 1932 and 1957 the Hohe Mühle was a residential area. After the war the mill was stopped; the plant fell into disrepair. 1964 and 1973 it was a district of Tornow. The buildings were used as a company holiday home for the Reichsbahn and from 1977 to 1990 by the Academy of Sciences of the GDR.
After the fall of the Wall , an investor bought the building.
