Association for local and local history Hohenlimburg
The association for local and local history Hohenlimburg is an association for local history in Hohenlimburg , today a district of Hagen . His main areas of activity include historical research in the Hagen and Iserlohn area and in the former county of Limburg . He is dedicated to the preservation , the conservation , the conservation and the environmental protection and relevant contributions in the cultural life.
The association was founded on October 20, 1920 by Rector Hermann Esser (1875–1935) and others. The Hohenlimburg homeland sheets for the Hagen and Iserlohn area have been published since 1926, and since 1983 by a separate association founded for this purpose. The sheets have been significantly influenced by Wilhelm Bleicher as an editor for more than 40 years since 1968. In addition, the association publishes monographs in its series of regional studies . The association is a co-partner of Schloss Hohenlimburg gGmbH, which was founded in 2005 . At the end of 2008 the Heimatverein had 534 members and two honorary members.
