Holger Aurel Jung

Holger Aurel Jung (* 1972 in Coburg ) is a German composer.

Life

Holger Aurel Jung grew up in Oberammergau. During his school days he was already a member of the orchestra in the Passion Plays and in concerts and performed his own compositions. After graduating from high school, he studied composition at the University of Music and Theater in Munich with Dieter Acker and Enjott Schneider and then worked as a freelance composer and arranger in various musical fields. He has mastered the instruments and the style of classical symphonic and vocal music as well as musical, jazz and rock music and knows how to bring these directions together into a coherent whole. He also works as a music teacher, lecturer in music theory and répétiteur.

Prizes and awards

  • For his horn concert 96 he received the advancement award for young artists in the district of Upper Bavaria.
  • His Divertimento for electric guitar and chamber orchestra was awarded a prize by the Franz Josef Reinl Foundation in 1999.
