The Cherry Spur is a prominent rock spur in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It forms the southwestern part of Sculpture Mountain at the southern end of the Monument Nunatakker .
Ohio State University field research teams conducted geological surveys in two Antarctic summer campaigns between 1981 and 1982 and between 1982 and 1983. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the rock spur after Eric M. Cherry (* 1958), who was involved in these studies.
