Holhol ( Arabic حلحول, also: Hol Hol , Holl-Holl ) is the second largest city in the Ali Sabieh region in Djibouti with around 5500 inhabitants . It lies on the railway line from Addis Ababa to Djibouti City .
At Holhol there was a refugee camp until 2006, in which mainly people from Somalia lived. In June 2006 the camp was closed and the approximately 2,500 remaining refugees were relocated to Ali Adde .
