The Holz-Berufsgenossenschaft (HBG) was a commercial employers' liability insurance association in Germany and thus the carrier of the statutory accident insurance .

It was based in Munich and was responsible nationwide for companies involved in wood processing , extraction and finishing, as well as the processing and processing of plastics and carved materials. She looked after around 51,500 companies with 490,000 insured persons. As part of its activities, the employers' liability insurance association also offered training and further education relevant to occupational safety.

On January 1, 2011, HBG merged with the Hütten- und Walzwerk-Berufsgenossenschaft , the Berufsgenossenschaft Metall Nord Süd and the Maschinenbau- und Metall-Berufsgenossenschaft to form the Professional Association for Wood and Metal (BGHM).
