Homfeld fountain

The Homfeldbrunnen in Bremen - Grohn on the Grohner Markt, corner Am Wasser is included in the list of fountains in the city of Bremen .

The fountain from 1991 with the nine bronze figures , the granite basin and the clinker base comes from the Bremen sculptor Claus Homfeld and was also named after him. The cultural authority describes the fountain: “With his sculptures and groups of figures, Homfeld makes social and cultural-historical references to the earlier everyday life of the respective location and thus makes the past vivid, with the subjects of 'cattle market', 'fish trade' or the 'Lütten Lüüd' serves ”. On the edge of the fountain, shrimp pulpers, netting, workers, boat builders and a few children play on the fish barrels.

From Homfeld come in Bremen a. a. the sculptures Ottjen Alldag (1964) made of bronze and copper in Schnoor , Broken World (1970) made of stainless steel on the forecourt of the school network in Burglesum , Heini Holtenbeen (1990) made of bronze in Schnoor, the Ludwig Knoop statue (1994) made of bronze in St. Magnus and the Magdalene Pauli monument (2001) made of bronze in Knoops Park in Burglesum.
