Adolescence
He was trained at Soongsil University from 2010 to 2013. After completing his training, he went to Busan IPark .
Football career in South Korea
Hong Dong-hyeon played for Busan IPark from 2013 to June 2017 and made 52 league appearances during that time, scoring six goals. He then moved to Ansan Greeners FC .
