Hongyancun

Hongyancun ( Chinese  红岩 村 社区 , Pinyin Hóngyáncūn Shèqū ) is a community of residents in the street district of Hualongqiao in the district of Yuzhong in the government-direct city of Chongqing in the southwest of the People's Republic of China . Hongyancun has an area of ​​0.7 km² and in June 2012 a resident population of 3322 residents (1386 residents registered as main resident).

history

An office building of the 8th March Army , led by the Chinese Communist Party , had been in what was then the village of Hongyan since the Japanese occupation of Wuhan . The service of this army was distributed from 1938 to 1946 over the three villages Hongyan (红岩 村), Zengjiayan 曾 家 岩 and Guiyuan.

The sites of the Office of the Eighth Marching Army in Chongqing (Chinese: Balujun Chongqing banshichu jiuzhi ) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-28) since 1961 .
