The station designed by Yves Bernard was created using an open construction method . On the platform level, the walls are clad with cement friezes , the shape of which symbolizes the dynamic power of the transport network. Light tubes behind the nameplates create interesting shadow games. From the northern end of the platforms, wide stairs lead up to the distribution level . This provides access to three functionally designed entrance pavilions , two of which are surrounded by bus turning loops.

The platform level with two side platforms is 9.4 meters deep . The distance to the neighboring Radisson station, measured from the end of the station to the start of the station, is 716.99 meters. There are connections to eleven bus routes and three night bus routes operated by the Société de transport de Montréal .

art

Two murals by Jean-Paul Mousseau adorn the entrances to the two platforms. They are each 28.6 meters long and up to 6.1 meters high and consist of red and blue ceramic tiles. Their patterns are similar to those of ink blots and complement each other (red on blue for the arrival platform, blue on red for the departure platform).

history

The opening of the station and the northernmost section of the green line took place on June 6, 1976, together with the section from Frontenac . Name giver is the Rue Honoré-Beaugrand. This is named after the writer and journalist Honoré Beaugrand (1849-1906), who was mayor of Montreal from 1885 to 1887.
