The main feature is a high central vault with a bridge-like distribution level above the tracks. In general, round shapes predominate. The two entrance pavilions on the surface consist of a glass curtain wall under a massive concrete roof, supported by sloping free-standing pillars.

The platform level with two side platforms is 17.4 meters deep . Immediately next to the station is a bus station , the Terminus Radisson operated by the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) . Six bus routes and two night bus routes run by the Société de transport de Montréal operate from there . In addition, there are a dozen other lines of different companies in the neighboring communities of the regions Rive-Nord and Rive-Sud . The AMT also maintains a park and ride facility with 526 parking spaces.

history

The station opened on June 6, 1976, together with the Frontenac –Honoré-Beaugrand section of the green line. Name giver is the Rue Radisson, named after the French explorer Pierre-Esprit Radisson (1640-1710).

The station served as the backdrop for some scenes in the film The Jackal (1997) . For this purpose, the signage in Capitol Heights was changed to show the metro Washington station of the same name in its Blue Line .
