Building

Entrance pavilion

The station, designed by Victor Prus and André G. Dionne , was built using an open construction method and essentially consists of a single, huge barrel vault that spans the platforms and the bridge-like distribution level . The lighting is provided by fluorescent lamps that are arranged in long rows on the vault ribs. This results in a futuristic overall impression. On the surface there are three entrance pavilions , concrete structures with attached geometric shapes.

The platform level with two side platforms is 14.0 meters deep . The distances to the neighboring stations, measured from station end to station start, are 518.51 meters to Cadillac and 621.79 meters to Radisson . There are connections to three bus routes and two night bus routes operated by the Société de transport de Montréal .

art

Artistically designed ventilation grille

The ventilation grilles on both platforms are covered by artistically designed elements by Charles Daudelin. These are rectangular chrome steel plates with round recesses.

history

The opening of the station took place on June 6, 1976, together with the section Frontenac - Honoré-Beaugrand of the green line. It is named after the Boulevard Langelier, named after the politician François Langelier (1838–1915).
