Honesty Chapel

The Honschaftskapelle Dünn is located in the Neuwerk -Dünn district of Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ), Dünner Straße 130.

The building was constructed in the middle of the 19th century. It was entered under No. D 026 on October 10, 1995 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

architecture

The chapel is on Dünner Straße opposite the entrance to Gatherskamp. It is a small gable tuff chapel under a slate roof in neo-Romanesque forms. A round-arched, profiled input is flanked by pilasters , which in one to gable rising arched Fries with Gesimsabschluss reconciled, the stresses at the gable top of a cross. On each side of the eaves there is a quadruple window in a wall field marked by chunks of tuff, which is also framed by pilaster strips and a round arch frieze. The interior is separated by a round-arched choir and the tuff stone, z. Walls decorated with white pebbles under plastered vaulted caps. It serves as a war memorial .
