Sala Sporturilor Horia Demian
The Sala Sporturilor Horia Demian (Horia Demian Sports Hall) is part of the urban Splaiul Independenţei Sports Complex . It is a multifunctional arena in Cluj-Napoca ( Romania ). The home games of the handball and basketball teams of CS Universitatea Cluj-Napoca take place in the hall. It has a capacity of 2500 people. In addition to sporting events, concerts are also held in the hall. In 2006 it was the venue for the MTV Romania Music Awards .
The arena is named after Horia Demian , a former Romanian national basketball player from Cluj-Napoca.
