Qi Baoxiang

Qi Baoxiang (* around 1961) is a Chinese table tennis player who won titles at the Asian and World Championships in the 1980s.

Career

Qi Baoxiang was trained at a table tennis boarding school in Baoding. In 1980 she was Asian champion in singles and with the Chinese team, in doubles and mixed, she reached the semifinals. In 1981 , 1983 and 1985 she was nominated for the world championship . She won bronze three times, namely in 1983 and 1985 in singles and 1985 in doubles with Tong Ling . In 1981 she became world champion with the Chinese team.

In the ITTF world rankings , Qi Baoxiang was ranked third in early 1981. After 1985, it no longer appeared internationally.

After the end of her career, Qi Baoxiang worked as the Chinese national coach.

Private

Qi Baoxiang has a younger sister named Chai Po Wa who played for Hong Kong in the 1990s.
