Horst-Franz Degen (born November 7, 1954 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

As a 19-year-old young player, Horst Degen made his first appearances for Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Bundesliga in 1973 , but did not get beyond the role of supplementary player. The midfielder from Niederzissen near Koblenz then moved to the 2nd Bundesliga and played over 220 games for Fortuna Cologne , 1. FC Bocholt and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen between 1976 and 1986 . For Bocholt and Oberhausen he also played in the Oberliga Nordrhein .

Horst Degen played a total of twelve Bundesliga games and 226 second division games and scored four goals.
