Horst-Thilo Beyer

Horst-Thilo Beyer (born June 13, 1938 in Dresden ) is a German economist.

Life

Beyer studied business administration , management , theory of science and natural sciences at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . From 1959 to the 1970s he was a member of the Corps Saxonia Leipzig . At the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen he was in 1970 for Dr. rer. pole. PhD. The doctoral thesis was awarded the Faculty Prize and the Karl Guth Prize of the Society for the Promotion of Young Entrepreneurs . After receiving a scholarship from the German Research Foundation from 1976 to 1978 , he completed his habilitation in 1981 in Erlangen. In 1987 he was a substitute professor at the University of Essen . After the German reunification in 1991 he went to the "neighboring" Technical University of Ilmenau . Until 1993 he was the founding dean of their faculty for economics. Until 1996 he headed the department of corporate management / personnel management. Afterwards he was external project manager for synergy management at the TU Ilmenau. He initiated the Ilmenau Economic Forum and the Faculty's sponsorship association. The friends' association elected him an honorary member. In 1996 he returned to Franconia . In Erlangen he set up the online textbook for synergy management. In Nuremberg he was Scientific Director of the Social Science Institute for Practice-Related Research (SIPRO).
