Horst-Werner Maier-Hunke

Horst-Werner Maier-Hunke (born May 7, 1938 in Iserlohn ) is managing director of the office equipment manufacturer Durable , honorary president of Entrepreneur NRW and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit , 1st class.

Career

Maier-Hunke finished his studies in 1965 and went to Nepal as head of the German Development Service. He helped set up a factory that distilled extracts from medicinal plants. Since 1980 he has headed the office supplies manufacturer Durable. Between 2004 and 2016 he led collective bargaining in the metal and electrical industry. He campaigned for collective bargaining autonomy.
