Horst Baier (politician, 1949)
Horst Baier (born August 15, 1949 in Billings ) is a German local politician ( SPD ).
Career
Baier attended the Pfungstadt elementary school from 1956 to 1964 and the “Friedrich List” vocational school in Darmstadt from 1964 to 1966. Between 1966 and 1975 he completed several administrative courses at the Hessian Administrative School Association in Darmstadt.
From 1973 to 1990 he worked as a part-time branch manager of the Kreisvolkshochschule Darmstadt-Dieburg and from 1979 to 1990 as part-time lecturer for the subjects of “local law” and “finance” at the administration and technical college in Darmstadt. From 1981 to 1989 he was head of the financial administration at the pension fund for civil servants of the municipalities and community associations in Darmstadt and the additional pension fund.
From 1990 to 2013 he was mayor of the city of Pfungstadt .
