Horst Küppers

Horst Küppers (born April 24, 1933 in Cologne ) is a retired German crystallographer and university professor.

Life

Horst Küppers studied physics at the University of Cologne . In 1955 he became a member of the Corps Franco-Guestphalia. In 1966 he was at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg Dr. rer. PhD. He then returned to Cologne, where he completed his habilitation in 1973. In 1975 he moved to the University of Hamburg as a scientific advisor and professor . In the same year he followed a call to the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , where he taught crystal physics until his retirement in 1998 . He has written numerous articles in scientific journals.

From 1991 to 2003 Küppers was treasurer of the German Society for Crystallography .
