Horst Rankl

Horst Rankl (born January 2, 1940 in Hartmanitz in the Bohemian Forest ) is a Bavarian writer , director and actor .

Career

His main job was a civil servant. From 1957 to 1974 he was employed by the Federal Border Police and federal authorities. After that he worked for the city of Rosenheim until his retirement on January 31, 2005, most recently as head of the main office.

From 1978 to 2003, Rankl was state theater director in the Association of Bavarian Amateur Theaters and was responsible for the training and further education of the member clubs. The association comprises 680 clubs with around 56,000 active players. He has been President of the Association of Bavarian Amateur Theaters since 2003. Rankl looks after the association's office together with several part-time employees in Rosenheim. Rankl has also been the 1st chairman of the Theater Rosenheim since 1999 , as well as initiator and director of the historical city games in Rosenheim.
