Horst Thomanske

Horst Thomanske (born June 26, 1932 in Neusalz ) is a former German walker .

Thomanske, who started for Eintracht Braunschweig and SC Acosta Braunschweig during his active career , was able to win four championship titles at the German Athletics Championships in Hanover in 1958 : in the 50 km and 20 km walk he won both individual competitions there with the Braunschweig team. A year earlier he had already won the German team championship in 20 km walking.

On June 15, 1958 (with a time of 1:33:48) and on June 28, 1959 (with a time of 1:30:48) Thomanske also twice set a German record in 20 km walking.

From 1957 to 1960 Thomanske started four times in the national jersey.
