Horst Vinken

Horst Klemens Vinken (born January 9, 1940 in Krefeld ) is a German business economist. Between 2013 and 2017 he was President of the Federal Association of Liberal Professions .

By 1967 Vinken completed a degree in business administration at the University of Cologne . In 1969 the doctorate followed. rer. pole. Vinken has been a tax consultant in Duisburg since 1972.

From 1974 to 1994 he taught part-time as a lecturer for auditing and fiduciary services at the University of Essen. Together with Hans-Christoph Seewald, H.-Michael Korth and Manfred Dehler, Vinken wrote the work “BilMoG. Accounting Law Modernization Act. Practical commentary for tax consultants ". He has been a director of the DWS Institute since 2007. From 2007 to 2015 he was President of the Federal Chamber of Tax Advisors .

In 2005, Vinken was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in recognition of the Order of Merit .

Vinken is married and has two grown children.
