Host Island is an island in the Wilhelm Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of the Wauwermans Islands it is located immediately southeast of Manciple Island

The island is still unnamed and first recorded on an Argentine map from 1950. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after a figure from the Canterbury Tales by the English writer Geoffrey Chaucer , written around 1387 .
