Hotel Cæsar is a Norwegian soap opera . It was broadcast Monday to Friday on TV 2 from October 24, 1998 to December 14, 2017 . The series was created by the Swedish team Peter E. Falck and Christian Wikander and is produced by the company Metronome Spartacus .

action

The focus of the action is a fictional hotel in Oslo , its employees and the Anker-Hansen family. In the first season, the hotel manager fell Georg Anker-Hansen , an aging womanizer in the call girl Ninni Krogstad married and with her, much to the dismay of his mother and numerous offspring. The character of Ninni died of an incurable cancer at the end of the season. Since then, questions of ownership and management of the hotel have been the main threads of action.

The character of Georg Anker-Hansen was played by Toralv Maurstad in 1998 and 1999 (with a guest appearance in 2004) . The main actors who have been active since 1998 include Sossen Krog ( Astrid Anker-Hansen ), Anette Hoff ( June Anker-Hansen ), Kim Kolstad ( Jens-August Anker-Hansen ) and Sofie Cappelen ( Victoria Lunde ).

Awards

In 1999 Anette Hoff received the Norwegian television award Gullruten in the category "Best Actress" for her role as Juni Anker-Hansen . In 2001 the series received the Gullruten Prize in the "Best Daily Soap" category. In 1999 Hotel Cæsar was nominated for an Amanda for Best TV Series and in 2004 for the Rose d'Or .
