The hotel LaBonte is a historic hotel in Douglas , Wyoming , USA . It was built in 1913 and was part of the city's construction boom at the beginning of the 20th century, which was due to the new rail and road connections. Local investors hired the Baerresen Brothers of Cheyenne and Denver as architects, and contractor Edward Reavill built the three-story brick structure. The hotel's name was chosen for its association with generosity and in honor of Converse County's alleged first resident , Pierre LaBonte . The hotel opened on January 26, 1914.

The U-shaped hotel building is on a corner at the intersection of North Second Street and Walnut Street in downtown Douglas. The protruding wings to Walnut Street flank a recessed courtyard where the hotel entrance is located. The dining room is on the first floor of the east wing and two shop windows are in the west wing on the corner. The lobby has a tiled floor, beamed ceiling and decorative pillars. There were electric lighting, steam central heating and telephones in the 54 guest rooms as early as 1914.

Hotel LaBonte was inscribed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 10, 2008. The hotel was renovated for the third time in 2015. It remains in operation as a hotel to this day. A downtown Douglas landmark for over 80 years, the LaBonte Hotel offers upscale accommodations and American cuisine in its on-site restaurant .
