The Hotel Victoria is a hotel in the Norwegian city of Stavanger .

It is located on the east side of the port of Vågen at the address Skansegaten 1 , in a corner north of the confluence with the Øvre Holmegate . A little northeast of the hotel is the listed building Tollboden .

Architecture and history

The four-story hotel was built in 1900 in the English-Victorian style and inaugurated on July 14, 1900. It is considered the oldest hotel in the city and has 107 rooms and eight conference rooms for 10 to 200 people. Today (as of 2018) it belongs to the Best Western hotel chain .

The guests of the hotel in 1906 included the Norwegian royal couple Haakon VII and Maud and in 1907 the King of Siam Chulalongkorn .
