The Hotel Weißes Roß is a listed former hotel in the town of Harzgerode in Saxony-Anhalt in the Harz region . Sometimes there is also the name Gasthof Weisses Ross .

location

It is located on the south side of Oberstraße in a corner position to the street Baderpforte which joins here in the old town of Harzgerode at the address Oberstraße 16 . Opposite the house is the street Schloßberg .

Architecture and history

The large farm has traufständig the street standing over a in 17th century timber-framed construction built house . The building, covered with a large hip roof , was converted into an inn. In the first half of the 19th century, it was redesigned in the classicist style . The plaster structure dates from this time. The utility wing, also designed as a half-timbered building, dates from the beginning of the 19th century.

In the local register of monuments , the hotel is listed as a monument under registration number 094 84766 .
