Hotel show

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A hotel show is commonly referred to as a show , such as a business fair or an exhibition that takes place in large rooms belonging to a hotel . These can also be congress halls, such as the Europahalle Trier , to which a hotel is connected. Not to be confused with the hotel show is the hotel fair , which is not a fair in a hotel but a trade fair for the hotel industry .

Hotel shows as trade fairs on a small scale are particularly suitable when mass visitor numbers are not expected. Sometimes hotel shows are used for test purposes before taking the step of holding a classic, internationally oriented large trade fair. For example, only two hotel shows were held, the great success of which also convinced the skeptics among shoe manufacturers, before the 1st German Shoe Sample Show took place in Düsseldorf on April 15, 1956 . From the third shoe sample show onwards, the GDS signet "Great German Shoe Sample Show" was used (see also: GDS - International Shoe Fair ).
