Hou Erliang

Hou Erliang (* 1937 ) ( Chinese  侯 尔 良 , Pinyin Hóu Ěrliáng ) is the representative heir of the fifth generation of the He style , a family style of the Chinese martial art Taijiquan .

Life

He grew up in the city Zhaobao in Wen County of the province Henan and learned as a teenager under Chai Yuzhu ( Chinese  柴玉柱 , Pinyin Chai Yuzhu ) and He Qing Tai ( Chinese  和庆台 , Pinyin Hé Qingtai ) Taijiquan . In 1962, while working in a coal mine in Tongchuam , Shaanxi , he became infected with tuberculosis . In 1963 he was accepted as a student by Zheng Wu Qing ( 郑 悟 清 , Zhèng Wùqīng , 1895-1984) and then taught Taiji.

In 1995, Wudang magazine published Hous He-style Taijiquan Zheng Wuqing Routine and Taiji Push Hand . In 1998, the same magazine published Zhaobao He-Style Taijiquan with 24 positions .

  • He was vice president and director of the coaching department of Zhaobao He-Stil Taijiquan, chief advisor of Xi'an Kung-Fu Training School, first honorary chairman of Tongchuan Taijiquan Association, advisor of Tongchuan Wushu Association, and advisor of Yaozhou Taijiquan Association.
  • In November 2006 the Volks-Sportverlag published his work Das Wesen des He-Stil Taijiquan ( ISBN 7-5009-2965-X , G.2864).
  • Shanxi Sports News Agency, 搏击ISSN  1004-5643 , Martial Arts League Magazine, page 52 publishes Hou Erliang's article Analysis of the Round and Square Shape Taijiquan He Style .
  • In 2017, Erliang appears on the list of the Wulin League at the Chenjiagou Taiji Center in Zhaobao City, listed as one of the contemporary masters of Taijiquan, the other three are He Baosen, He Baoguo, He Youlu.

His taiji fighting ability

Hou Erliang studied successively with Chai Yuzhu (柴玉柱), He Qingtai (和 庆 台) and Zheng Wuqing (郑 悟 清) and has been teaching for more than 60 years. He is known as a master of perfection in Taiji form and free combat as well as being good at He-style Taiji sword, Taiji stick, Taiji plane, Taiji spear and so on.

He inherits the boxing skills of many famous Taijiquan masters and has written The Essence of He Style Taijiquan .
