Houba (German: Pilz ) is a punk rock band from Ústí nad Labem , Czech Republic , which was founded in 1995 by the brothers Majkl and Martíček as well as Jirka and Hrdla. Míra joined them in 2006. The meaning of the band name does not lie in the literal translation, but is based on a popular drink in the Czech Republic called Houba, made from cola and red wine . Live they were u. a. active in Germany , Poland , Belarus , Lithuania , Latvia and Estonia , mostly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia .

style

The band plays energetic and melodic punk rock with partly political lyrics. It should be emphasized that the main vocals by Martíček and Majkl are usually taken over in a duet of both.
