Hounslow Central is an above-ground London Underground station in the London Borough of Hounslow . It is in the Travelcard tariff zone 4 on Lampton Road. In 2013, 3.93 million passengers used this station served by the Piccadilly Line .

As early as July 21, 1884, the Metropolitan District Railway (MDR; predecessor of the District Line ) opened the line towards Hounslow Barracks (now Hounslow West ). The Heston-Hounslow station did not follow until April 1, 1886, until then the trains ran through here without stopping. The electrification of the line was completed on June 13, 1905. On December 19, 1912, a new station building was inaugurated and on December 1, 1925, the station was given its current name. Trains of the Piccadilly Line first stopped on March 13, 1933. Since October 9, 1964, it has been the only line on the section west of Acton Town , as the District Line was shortened.

In and around the station, some scenes from the film Kick it like Beckham were filmed in 2002 .
