Housatonic Meadows State Park is a state park in the US state of Connecticut in the area of the community of Sharon . It covers an area of 183 hectares (452 acres) and offers picnicking, fishing, and winter skiing.
geography
The park stretches from north to south on the right bank of the Housatonic River . Carse Brook and Hatch Brook are two tributaries of the Housatonic that traverse the park. The park is enclosed by part of the Housatonic State Forest , a wooded area of 4,409 hectares. The Appalachian Trail crosses it.
