Hu Sansheng

Hú Sansheng ( Chinese  胡三省 , * 1230 ; † 1287 ), maiden name hú Mǎnsūn ( Chinese  胡滿孫  /  胡满孙 ), farm name Shenzhi ( Chinese  身之 ) Meijian ( Chinese  梅澗  /  梅涧 ) and Jǐngcān ( Chinese  景參  /  景参 ), was a Chinese historian of the late Song and early Yuan dynasties . In the 1850s he served as a civil servant for Supreme Minister Jia Sidao . After the fall of the Song dynasty in 1279, he fled and in exile wrote a commentary on Sima Guang's Consolidated Time Mirror on Aid in the Government .
