Huaiyuan County ( Chinese  怀远 县 , Pinyin Huáiyuǎn Xiàn ) is a district in the Chinese province of Anhui . It belongs to the administrative area of ​​the prefecture-level city of Bengbu . Huaiyuan has an area of ​​2,400 km² and has 1.26 million inhabitants (2004). Its main town is the large community of Chengguan (镇 镇)
