Hubert Kuzdas

Hubert Kuzdas (born October 20, 1961 in Pellendorf , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party ( SPÖ ). From October 30, 2006 to August 31, 2015, he was a member of the Austrian National Council for almost nine years .

education

From 1975 Hubert Kuzdas attended the mechanical engineering branch of the Higher Technical College Schellinggasse in Vienna, where he graduated in 1981. He completed a degree in business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, which he completed with a master's degree.

After leaving the National Council, Kuzdas joined the Corporate Affairs department at ÖBB Holding on September 1, 2015 .

Political career

Hubert Kuzdas was a founding member and chairman of the young generation of the SPÖ in Pellendorf until 1983. From 1990 to 1996 he was a member of the central committee and the union board of the union of postal and telecommunications employees. Since 1994 he has been chairman of the SPÖ Gaweinstal, since 1995 executive councilor and parliamentary group chairman, from 1997 district education chairman in the Mistelbach district. He is also a lecturer in the local political academy of the SPÖ, Lower Austria.

On October 30, 2006 he was sworn in to the National Council. Furthermore, Kuzdas was chairman of Volkshilfe in the Mistelbach district until May 2011. Since November 21, 2008, Kuzdas has also been chairman of the Social Democratic Party in the Mistelbach district. After the SPÖ had to accept a loss of votes in the National Council election on September 29, 2013, Kuzdas did not manage to get a mandate and left the National Council at short notice.

After the members of the government were sworn in, Hubert Kuzdas was able to take up a mandate as a successor candidate in the National Council of the 25th legislative period on December 17, 2013 . He kept this until his voluntary retirement from active federal politics on August 31, 2015.
