Hubert Lemper

Hubert Lemper (born December 21, 1919 in Bergheim ; † October 19, 1990 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending primary school, Lemper completed a commercial apprenticeship and then worked as a commercial clerk. He took part in World War II as a soldier from 1939 to 1945 and was employed as a radio operator for the long-range reconnaissance aircraft. After he went blind in his left eye, he was a radio operator for the transport squadrons. From November 1945 he worked as an administrative clerk before starting a civil service career in June 1949. In 1945 he had joined the DGB .

Political party

Lemper joined the SPD in 1945, had been chairman of a sub-district since 1961 and a member of a district executive since 1962.

MP

From 1956 to 1961, Lemper was a member of the Bergheim district (Erft) . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1972. He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of the SPD North Rhine-Westphalia .
