Hubertus Busche

Hubertus Busche (born February 26, 1958 ) is a German philosopher and professor of philosophy at the Distance University in Hagen .

Life

Busche studied philosophy , German and comparative religious studies at the University of Bonn from 1977 to 1983 . In 1985 he received his doctorate from the University of Bonn with a dissertation on Hegel's early writings phil. PhD. From 1992 to 1995 he was a fellow of the German Research Foundation . The habilitation took place in 1996 at the University of Bonn with a study on the development of the philosophy of early Leibniz. Busche has been ord. Professor at the FernUniversität in Hagen , where he heads the Department of Philosophy I. In 2004 he founded the European Society for Early Modern Philosophy (ESEMP) together with Stefan Hessbrüggen-Walter , was its founding president from 2004 to 2007 and has been its treasurer ever since. Busche has been co-editor of the Archive for Conceptual History since 2017 .

Busche's work focuses on epistemology, ontology and metaphysics, cultural philosophy and the history of philosophy.
