Patrick Quentin

Patrick Quentin (also Q. Patrick or Jonathan Stagge ) is the pseudonym of the American writer

  • Richard Wilson Webb (born November 23, 1901 - February 1970) and
  • Hugh Callingham Wheeler (March 19, 1912 - July 26, 1987).

Starting in 1936, the two authors published detective novels about theater producer and detective Peter Duluth under the pseudonym Patrick Quentin . You wrote under the pseudonym Q. Patrick until 1941 and under Jonathan Stagge from 1937 to 1949 .

Richard Wilson Webb wrote two crime novels with Martha Mott Kelly and two novels with Mary Louise Aswell under the pseudonym Q. Patrick before working with Hugh Wheeler .

Hugh Wheeler wrote several books on musicals, including Sweeney Todd .
