Hughes Ridge is a northeast-southwest trending and 5.5 km long mountain ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Cartographers Range of the Victory Mountains, it rises up to 2,420 m high on the eastern flank of the Lawson Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2009 after Dwight Sturtevant Hughes, senior software developer and team leader of the Geographic Names Information System from 1993 to 2009.
