Hugo Freund & Co was a jewelery company from Austria-Hungary , later Czechoslovakia, founded in Prague in 1908 . The founder was Hugo Freund .

Company history

Hugo Freund & Co had branches in Vienna , Pforzheim , Antwerp and Switzerland , which were in constant contact with the Prague head office and took care of purchasing and export, and kept the head office informed about important foreign developments and the market situation.

When it came to making the import of foreign goods more difficult and separating from foreign suppliers and their foreign factories, Freund decided to save high customs and foreign exchange fees.

At the end of World War II , all private companies were nationalized, including Hugo Freund & Co.
