Hugo Rubio
Hugo Eduardo Rubio Montecinos (born July 5, 1960 in Talca ) is a former Chilean football player . He made his professional debut in 1979 with the Rangers de Talca . His international career began in 1983, with appearances as a center forward for FC Málaga (1985–1986), CSD Colo-Colo (1986–1987), FC Bologna (1988) and FC St. Gallen (1989–1991), and ended in 1991 In the Chilean national football team , he came to 36 games in which he scored 12 goals.
In Switzerland, he became known as Ivan Zamorano's successful strike partner at FC St. Gallen . In the Swiss National League A he scored a total of 12 goals in two seasons (1989/90 and 1990/91).
