Hugo Wormsbecher (born June 26, 1938 in Marxstadt , ASSR of the Volga Germans , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian-German writer and speaker of the Russian- Germans in Russia .
biography
Hugo Wormsbecher was born in the Volga German Republic and grew up in exile in Siberia . He worked as a lathe operator, electrician, sports teacher and graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic University as an editor.
Wormsbecher works as a writer and editor of various periodicals. He worked for the newspapers Friendship and New Life . From 1981 to 1989 he edited the literary almanac Heimatliche Weiten , which appears twice a year . Furthermore, Wormsbecher wrote some stories.
Since the 1980s Hugo Wormsbecher has also been one of the most important speakers for Russian Germans. He was involved, among other things, as Vice President of the Federal National Cultural Autonomy of Russian Germans (FNKA).
