Huis Schuylenburch is a baroque palace on Lange Vijverberg Street in The Hague and has been the seat of the German Embassy in the Netherlands since 1885 .

Philip van Dijk: Cornelis van Schuylenburch with his wife and three children , oil on canvas 1724.

The building with a view of the Hofweiher and the Binnenhof was designed by the architect Daniel Marot and executed by Felix du Sart from 1715 to 1721. The client was the wealthy patrician Cornelis van Schuylenburch (1683–1763), after whom the building was named.

The street side of the baroque sandstone building is noticeably symmetrical. The building has three floors above the basement. The façade has seven axes, of which the middle one is particularly emphasized and decorated. In the central axis, an outside staircase leads over the basement to the two-winged entrance portal on the ground floor. Above that there is a central balcony on the first floor and a slightly widened window on the second floor. On all three floors there are three rectangular windows each to the left and right of the central axis. The first floor is the highest, the second is slightly lower, and the third is the lowest. Above the third floor, the building is closed off by a balustrade that is raised in the center and contains a coat of arms of the Schuylenburch family in the gable. The hipped roof of the building and the eight-sided lantern with large windows on the roof cannot be seen from the street, but concealed by the balustrade. Inside, the significant furnishings from the 18th century have been preserved.

Huis Schuylenburch has been included in the list of the top 100 Dutch cultural monuments by the Rijksdienst voor Archeologie, Cultuurlandschap en Monumenten .
