Humberto Viscarra Monje

Humberto Viscarra Monje (born March 3, 1898 in Sorata , † September 2, 1971 in La Paz ) was a Bolivian composer.

Viscarra received his musical training in Italy, Paris and finally at the La Paz Conservatory, where he first worked as a piano teacher and then until 1968 as director.

He composed a Scherzo, a Legend and a Little Dance for Orchestra, a collection of Bolivian melodies for piano as well as choral works and songs .
