Humphrey Talbot
Sir Humphrey Talbot († 1493 on Mount Sinai ) was an English knight .
Life
Sir Humphrey Talbot was the second son of John Talbot, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and his second wife Margaret Beauchamp, Countess of Shrewsbury , a daughter of Richard Beauchamp, 13th Earl of Warwick .
As his brother-in-law, Sir Humphrey was closely associated with John Mowbray, 4th Duke of Norfolk , and in 1469 served as captain of the ducal troops in the siege and takeover of Caister Castle . From 1489 Sir Humphrey was Marshall of Calais .
His will of February 18, 1492 was confirmed on November 11 of the same year. Sir Humphrey Talbot then went on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and died in 1493 on Mount Sinai , probably in the local St. Catherine's Monastery . His will was executed in 1494.
Marriage and offspring
Sir Humphrey was married to Mary (or Joan), daughter of John Champernoun. The couple left no offspring.
