The dog owner house at Forstmeisterstraße 3 is a listed building in the Bessungen district of the southern Hessian city of Darmstadt .
Architecture and history
The dog owner house is part of the Bessunger Jagdhof ensemble. In the house , the residence of the Landgrave dog warden was.
The two-storey , traufständige , plastered timbered house has an on one side hipped saddle roof in beaver tail cover . Towards the “Forstmeisterplatz”, the building is emphasized by a centrally arranged dwarf house . The house has lattice windows and shutters .
The former "deer cellar" is located under the dog owner's house. The house was renovated in 1983 and 1984.
Monument protection
For architectural, architectural and city-historical reasons, the half-timbered house has the status of a monument according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act .
