The Hundred Islands National Park is located in the coastal waters of the Philippine province of Pangasinan and is a popular destination for tourists.

The national park is near Alaminos . The archipelago includes 123 smaller islands and covers an area of ​​1884 hectares . The park was established by the President's Proclamation No. 667 and covers an area of ​​16.76 square kilometers, which was signed by President Manuel L. Quezon on January 18, 1940 for the benefit of the people of the Philippines and is known as the Hundred Islands National Park (HINP) is known.

Republic Law No. 3655, signed on June 22, 1962, created the Hundred Islands Conservation and Development Authority (HICDA) for the Conservation, Development and Administration of the HINP. The park including Lucap Bay was transferred from the HICDA to the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) in accordance with Section 35 of Presidential Decree No. 564.

On April 27, 1982, under Proclamation No. 2183, the national park including the Lucap Bay and its foreland areas, starting from Sitio Telbang in the east to Sitio Recudo in the west, was declared a tourist zone and a marine reserve under the control and administration of the PTA. As a result, the land reserve parcels for the Multipurpose Sea Fisheries Farm (created under Proclamation No. 1282 of June 21, 1974) were abolished by Presidential Proclamation No. 2237 of November 6, 1982 and also under the control and developmental purposes Supervision of the tourism authority.

Decree No. 436, signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on June 21, 2005, delegated the administration, management, maintenance, and operation of the entire Hundred Islands National Park (HINP), including all activities, facilities, and improvements thereafter from Filipino Tourism Administration (PTA) to the municipal government of Alaminos, Pangasinan, pursuant to Republican Law No. 436.7160. Also known as the 1991 Local Government Code, the code encourages the transfer of power and authority from the national government local government units, in accordance with the government's constitutional decentralization program.
