Hungaria Austria gas pipeline

The Hungaria-Austria-Gasleitung ( HAG ) is a long-distance gas pipeline in Austria. It is operated by Gas Connect Austria GmbH and runs from the border with Slovakia in the Austrian natural gas hub near Baumgarten an der March in a south-east direction to the border with Hungary between Deutsch Jahrndorf and Mosonmagyaróvár . The pipeline is 46 km long, has a nominal diameter of 700 mm (DN 700) and has been in operation since 1996. It is used to transport natural gas from Austria to Hungary and can only be operated in a west-east direction.

Since 2009, the 4 km long Kittsee-Petrzalka gas pipeline (KIP) has branched off in Kittsee towards Slovakia.

On the HAG of connection should Nabucco pipeline carried to the Western European pipeline network.
